Who I Am

Rehab is Phase 1. This is Phase 2.

I’m Nathan Appleby, a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
After many years working with active adults—athletes, parents, weekend warriors—I kept seeing the same frustrating pattern:

You finish physical therapy.
The pain is “better.” You’re technically “cleared.”
But your body still doesn’t feel right.

Your tendon still flares up.
Your workouts still feel limited.
You’re still avoiding the things you love—because deep down, you know you’re not truly ready.

Pain-free isn’t the goal. Resilience is.

Bridging the Gap Between Rehab and Real Training

That’s the gap Forged In Motion was created to fill.

I specialize in helping people rebuild the connective tissue strength that general fitness ignores. My focus is simple but powerful:

Tendon and Cartilage Health

Collagen-stimulating strength work (isometrics, concentric/eccentrics, plyometrics)

Progressive loading, not fear-based training

Nutrition strategies to support healing and reduce chronic inflammation

This isn’t “rehab.” It’s high-level, tendon-focused training delivered through a 12–14 week virtual coaching program with personalized progressions and real-time support.

Whether you're:

Post-rehab and want to finish what PT started

Coming back from years of aches and tweaks

Or just refusing to let “getting older” define your performance

You’re in the right place.

Why Im Different

At Forged In Motion, my mission is to honor God by helping active adults steward their bodies well—restoring strength, overcoming pain, and building lasting resilience through tendon and cartilage focused training designed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy. I believe the body is a gift, and we’re called to move with purpose, live with discipline, and pursue wellness as an act of worship.
